More Details on Our Top Picks
-
ZAGG Glass+ Screen Protector
You should pick this one if you want a straightforward screen guard that does exactly what it says on the box. It acts like a second skin for your phone, providing a clear layer that keeps your display from picking up scratches while you slide it in and out of your pockets.
The main benefit here is the longevity of the surface, which stays smooth even after months of heavy use. But keep in mind, it lacks some of the advanced extras like privacy filters or specialized blue light blocking found in the more expensive options.

ZAGG Glass Elite Privacy Protector
This is the go-to choice for anyone who works on the go or commutes in crowded spaces. The two-way privacy filter narrows the viewing angle, meaning the person sitting next to you on the train will only see a dark screen while you view your emails.
Beyond the privacy aspect, the reinforced edges provide a significant buffer against chips and cracks. Just remember that the privacy tint can slightly reduce the overall brightness of your screen when viewed head-on.

ZAGG Glass+ Standard Guard
Think of this as the workhorse of the lineup. It is designed for the user who values simplicity and wants to protect their investment without paying for features they might not use daily.
It offers a clean, responsive surface that mirrors the feel of the original glass on your iPhone. The limitation is that it provides standard impact protection rather than the reinforced, heavy-duty shielding you find on the Elite or XTR series.

ZAGG XTR2 Gaming Screen Protector
If you spend your downtime gaming on your phone, this is your best bet. It features Hexiom impact technology that disperses the energy of a drop, which is great for clumsy hands, but the real highlight is the ultra-smooth surface that helps your thumbs glide across the screen during intense sessions.
It also packs in blue light filtration to reduce eye strain during long gaming marathons. Be aware that the protective layers make this a thicker protector than the base models.

The anti-fingerprint technology keeps your screen looking pristine throughout the day, which is a big plus if you dislike smudges. While it is very durable, it does not include the specialized light filtering found in the VisionGuard or Gaming editions.

It maintains the high-end Elite series strength for impact protection, so you do not have to sacrifice durability for comfort. One thing to note is that the filter can sometimes give the screen a very slight warm cast compared to a standard clear protector.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will a Zagg screen protector make my iPhone 14 Pro Max screen less responsive?
Not at all. These protectors are engineered to be ultra-thin, ensuring your fingers glide smoothly across the surface. You will likely forget it is even there.
Can I still use a bulky case with these protectors?
Yes, Zagg designs these to be case-friendly. They stop just short of the edges so the lip of your case does not push the glass upward.
What is the benefit of the blue light filter?
Some Zagg options include Eyesafe technology which filters out high-energy visible blue light. This can help reduce digital eye strain during long hours of scrolling or working.
How do I remove the screen protector if it cracks?
Simply use a thin card, like a credit card, to gently lift one corner of the glass. Once you have a grip, peel it off slowly to ensure the glass comes away in one piece rather than shattering further.
Does the lifetime warranty actually cover everything?
Zagg provides a limited lifetime warranty that covers your screen protector if it gets worn or damaged for as long as you own your device. You just pay for shipping and handling to receive your replacement.
